The Shirley Gurowka Memorial Award
 The Shirley Gurowka Memorial Award, a charitable trust fund, was established in 1999 in memory of our dear friend, colleague and first President, Shirley Gurowka – who passed away on December 7, 1996.
Shirley’s work and passion in caring for the most vulnerable mothers and babies in our community continues to be an inspiration for all who knew her.
A $500.00 award is presented annually after March 31, to assist a mother to achieve long-term improvements and goals (i.e. continued education, career counseling) that improve the lives of herself and that of her baby. |

Award Criteria
Must have attended a Healthy Start or Teen Prenatal Supper Club Program at least eight times (there is no time limit on when you completed the program).
Must have specific details of education/training program that you are wanting to attend (e.g. College or Training Centre, program, location, date of course and cost of course).
