Best Start Health Coalition in Peel (BSHCP) is committed to protecting the privacy of its donors and other individuals about or from whom we collect personal information.   We embrace the principles of the Canadian Standards Association Model Code for the Protection of Personal Information to ensure that all personal information is properly collected, used only for the purposes for which it is collected and is disposed of in a safe and timely manner when no longer required.

Although the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA") does not apply to most Best Start Health Coalition in Peel activities, we always strive to embrace best practices, and are therefore following the principles of the CSA Model Code for the Protection of Personal Information upon which PIPEDA is based.)

Ensuring Your Security with Online Donations

All information, including credit card, personal identification and any other records, are securely protected behind multiple security measures. CanadaHelps.org has worked extensively with a number of major technology companies and online security experts to ensure that all security requirements are not only met, but far exceeds them. Secure Socket Layers (SSL) are used to encrypt all information before sending it to their servers, using a 128-bit encryption level. Your information remains encrypted until it reaches their servers and, once there, it is protected by firewalls and the most effective security measures available.
